Twenty-two kilometres and a very big climb. I started out of Soldon before dawn. And I took the lower road route into Quiroga. As I was having some problems with my shoes and I wanted to test them on an even surface to begin with. I also wanted to catch breakfast in Quiroga and I found a wonderful breakfast, which set me out for the rest of the day. A large part of the day was then climbing up to an altitude of about 700 metres with stunning views in all directions, and then a very sharp descent down through a couple of almost deserted villages to A Labrada where I’m staying in the pension Pacita. The pension has very good online reviews, which are well deserved. A very nice place, great food and a great welcome.
