20th of March – Why Do It?

20th of March – Why Do It?

Many people have asked me that…. And I often ask myself. But I never doubt the ‘draw’ of the Camino de Santiago, which is powerful for many Pilgrims to be. Some walk the Camino for religious reasons. Some to reflect and deal with issues in their life. For me it’s a bit of everything.

21st of April – 4 Sleeps to Go

Wow, time has flown past. It only seemed like yesterday, not 18 months, that the idea of walking the Camino de Santiago came about. And like many of the ‘Pilgrims to be’ I have made friends with online, that mixture of excitement and anxiousness is really starting to kick in.

22nd of April – 3 Sleeps to go

3 Sleeps to go. The time to depart on my Camino is almost here. My Physio advised me yesterday that the Achilles Tendonitis pain will only get worse as I walk. Though he confirmed as did my Doctor, that no permanent damage will occur.

Camino Budget

Camino Budget

One question that many people ask whilst planning their Camino revolves around budgets. How much do things cost and how much money do I need to take.
So I thought that I would share my budget as well as a few financial related tips. So here is my budget for the Camino Frances during May/June 2015. OK, first a disclaimer! You can probably walk your Camino on a budget of 25-30 Euros a day (as at 2015). That will mean staying in shared accommodation, eating cheap meals, picnic lunches, maybe doing some cooking yourself and so on.

Camino de Santiago Videos

Camino de Santiago Videos

My Favourite Camino Videos There are some great Camino de Santiago videos that other Pilgrims have made and indeed some that inspired me to either walk the Camino or make my own videos. Here’s my own ‘series’. https://robscamino.com/camino-de-santiago-video-series/
