Those snow-capped mountains are part of the 2000 Mt high Cordillera Cantabrica range, and are 70 to 80 Kms north of you. I remember you commenting on the difficulty of judging distances Rob. So, a three or four day walk away !
How do you fix the trekking umbrellas to your packs, Rob?
i looked at the Euroschirm selection and the dedicated hands-free one is more than twice the weight of those you use.
I’ve never used one but they look like a really good idea for protection from the sun.
How do you stop them swinging about in the wind?

We use a couple of velcro straps, like cable ties. Seems to work ok. Bit of trial and error at first….
I’ll take some photos…
Just added a video above.
Many thanks, Rob, for the video.
I’ll just keep my eyes closed as I hoist my pack on!
Ingenious … and simple … and they look so secure.
Thank you for the instructions!!!
