Well you have to try Pulpo (Octopus) in Melide on the Camino Frances! Many people love it, but I’m not a fan. Sorry.

I wasn’t quite sure what we ordered. It happens a lot. But a Nice Surprise! BBQ Pork in Salceda on the Camino Frances. Salceda is on the last 100 km into Santiago de Compostela.

On all 3 Caminos so far, I have stopped here for lunch. Because it is great food and a great view. O Mirador in Portomarin on the Camino Frances is easy to find. At the top of the steps, turn left.

This was Pat’s first Camino, a test run from just before Sarria. The Menu del Dia (menu of the day) is often only a couple of euros more than the Pilgrims Menu. But much nicer! It’s the same concept. 3 courses with a drink. So if you get bored...
