So, our penultimate day coming back into Santiago. For us, quite a long day, 20.7. I don’t know, I always imagined long days for us, for our abilities, we’re 25, but maybe age and health is catching up with us. We’re certainly finding 20 or so is plenty long enough for us. But quite a few ups and downs.

So, we started off from Casa Pepa well before dawn again. A lovely walk for the first few k’s and then at Vilaserío we started a climb up and then some significant ups and downs predominantly down all the way into Negreira.

We stayed at the Albergue Pension San Jose which I had stayed at before. It’s a good place because it’s quite a large albergue with good facilities, washing machines and so on but they also have private rooms and these generally take the form of little apartments next to the albergue.

So, we got one of those which was nice to sort of spread out and have a few facilities on our sort of penultimate day heading into Santiago. We managed to find some pretty good food around Nagreira, there’s lots of places to get lunch and dinner, lots of shops. So really good facilities.
