Camino Day 3 – Leaving Roncesvalles
I awoke this morning at 6:45 a.m. in complete silence, I thought it must still be the middle of the night.
When I looked at my watch and saw it was already 6:45 a.m. I was really surprised. I must have slept well…
I opened the window to look out on the road that comes down towards Roncesvalles and I could see the mountains that I had walked down yesterday afternoon and the only sound in the air was the birds tweeting.
As I look out on this new day, it looks perfect, fresh and cool, not too hot and hopefully no rain.
I’ve developed a few aches and pains during the night that I didn’t know were there, but I’m sure as I start walking, all of that will get better.
I can’t wait to set out once again and start walking.
It seem nice day to have a long walk 🙂
Enjoying your posts, Rob. I leave for St. Jean Pied de Port in about a week to begin my Camino. Very excited! Glad you are doing well so far, despite injuries. Keep well and buen camino!
Just 12 km today 🙂
You’ll love it Angela!
Keep it going, don’t let the injuries stop you.
I want to see you come back 10 kilo’s lighter, at least!
