So, Botos to Silleda. I think Pat is beginning to think that I’m making up the distances. Certainly the distances we’re finding on Gronze seem to be a little bit underestimated and with all the ups and downs. We’re finding some of the distances a bit of a struggle.

Today it was supposed to be 15.5,15.4, but it really felt a lot more, probably closer to 20. So it was an interesting walk with lots of heat again. We came down through A Laxe, which is a place that I remembered from walking on the Invierno. That’s where the Invierno and the Sanabres join.

We managed to get a nice breakfast just out of A Laxe, which was great. And then carried on in some fairly hot weather to Silleda, where we stayed at the Hostal Casas Novas, where we got a really good room, not a bad meal.

For lunch we had a menu del dia, got some washing done, which was great, and then just up the road found a nice bar for what is probably our nicest dinner yet. So, a good end to the day.
