So, today was a 17.8 kilometer day from Corcubion to O Logoso. We started off early because for us it was going to be quite a long day. There was a few hills involved and we wanted to try and get to O Logoso in time for lunch. So, we started off in the dark through Corcubion, through Cee and then I seem to recall from my last time on this route that then was a very steep hill coming up from Cee and indeed there was.
We had a bite to eat before taking on the hill and it was very steep, over quite a short distance but the weather was good. The sun was just coming up. There was a little bit of rain on the way up, so we had to put on our rain gear, but overall it was not too bad.

Then once we got up the top, a few little ups and downs on the way to O Logoso. Of course, during that time, we passed the Bifurcation, I think it’s called, the junction where people can turn either towards Muxia or towards Fisterra if they’re walking from Santiago.

And then by the time we got to just past Hospital, we found a Cafe Oden and had a second breakfast which was good and then finally the last section into O Logoso. That seems to have expanded. It’s a very small village and there’s a cafe with an albergue attached and they have a few private rooms. It seems to have expanded a bit in the last three years, but very comfortable. The food was pretty good and it’s an ideal location to break up the journey.

So overall, another great day. And we even got to see the Vakner on the way up the hill, some mythical creature which stands about four meters tall. Not quite sure the story behind all of that, but another enjoyable walk even with the hills and the ups and downs.
