So, this was our second day on Muxia to Fisterra to Santiago Camino. We departed Lires with a bit of an uphill climb to begin with which we kind of knew about from the route maps. It was a little bit warmer than expected and we were leaving a little bit later than usual so, it was quite a warm climb.

Some beautiful villages, great scenery, of course and then we found this wonderful donativo. I wasn’t sure what it was. I asked someone in the street, “Is this a bar?” And he said, “No, no, it’s a donativo.” We popped in there for a drink and some wonderful homemade wax stamps in our pilgrim passports.

It was really at a point where we just felt we needed to have a sit down and a drink, so it was perfect timing. And then from that point on, we seemed to see lots of cats for some reason. So, the camino cat lady, otherwise known as Pat, had a field day feeding lots of cats, some very cute kittens.
And then we had the sort of downhill section towards Fisterra. And as always, the last couple of k’s towards the end were a bit of a drag, getting hot, getting tired, but all went well and we found our accommodation in Hospedeiro Cabo Sport.

So, we popped out for a bite of lunch, went up to visit the lighthouse and then had rather a yummy dinner. We spoilt ourselves yet again. We went to Terra, which is a little bit further along the harbor front in Fisterra. And tomorrow we look forward to a short day just out to Corcubion. So another great day on this really beautiful Camino.
