With accommodation now filling so rapidly Rob, maybe you need to buy the old dilapidated roadhouse with verandha, restore it as a Camino albuergue and retire to Spain !
But you know, Rob, there are many pilgrims who would never be able to afford 25 euros for a pilgrim meal, however good. Hopefully, the cook knows this as well and is pricing for her customers. I know that I need one full meal a day to be able to keep moving. And I do lose a significant amount of weight on camino.
I understand your point. But there were many other places to eat. This is a business that is vastly under selling itself. And given the state of the economy they must be struggling.
On the other hand, a couple of nights later, we had a 10 e pilgrim meal that was barely edible ! They just didn’t care.
As long as there are a range of options available to meet all budgets i’m not sure we can expect all pilgrim focussed businesses to offer rock bottom prices? Can we?
