{"id":104,"date":"2016-05-06T00:31:33","date_gmt":"2016-05-06T00:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/robscamino.com\/2016\/?p=104"},"modified":"2021-08-30T08:12:07","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T08:12:07","slug":"5th-of-may-camino-magic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/robscamino.com\/2016\/5th-of-may-camino-magic\/","title":{"rendered":"5th of May &#8211; Camino Magic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s funny how the Camino will work its magic if you let it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure how many days we&#8217;ve been walking&#8230;7 or 8, you tend not to bother counting when you spend your day just putting one foot in front of the other and enjoying the journey.<\/p>\n<p>I think things have clicked for Pat today and in a way, it&#8217;s a pity that our journey is just a short one.<\/p>\n<p>We were very lucky leaving Arzua this morning in that we were behind the main waves of pilgrims, so we&#8217;ve had a very peaceful day of walking with not many other pilgrims on the track.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-109\" src=\"https:\/\/robscamino.com\/2016\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4750.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4750\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/robscamino.com\/2016\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4750.jpg 336w, https:\/\/robscamino.com\/2016\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/IMG_4750-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I think that; coupled with walking through some beautiful eucalypt forests, has really helped\u00a0Pat connect with the Camino and all that it can offer.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s even saying it&#8217;s a pity we&#8217;re only walking 16 kilometres today and it&#8217;s a pity that we stop walking tomorrow once we reach Santiago.<\/p>\n<p>So I think she really appreciates that to get the full Camino experience or benefit from walking the Camino, you do actually need to walk a little bit longer \u00a0than\u00a0just 7 or 8 days.
