{"id":35,"date":"2015-04-22T06:54:03","date_gmt":"2015-04-22T06:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/robscamino.com\/?p=35"},"modified":"2016-01-16T19:38:47","modified_gmt":"2016-01-16T08:38:47","slug":"2-sleeps-to-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/robscamino.com\/2015\/2-sleeps-to-go\/","title":{"rendered":"22nd of April &#8211; 3 Sleeps to go"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>This Camino is Starting to Feel Very Real!<\/h1>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>The time to depart on my Camino is almost here.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 Sleeps to go.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My Physio advised me yesterday that the Achilles Tendonitis pain <em>will only get worse as I walk<\/em>.\u00a0 Though he confirmed as did my Doctor, that no permanent damage will occur.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not looking forward to it.\u00a0 (the pain) I&#8217;ll just have to be really aware of taking soft routes where ever possible, stopping to do lots of stretching, and maybe transporting my heavier gear for the first week or two&#8230;\u00a0 A regime of warm ups before starting, ice packs after stopping and constant stretching, I&#8217;m hoping will get me through.\u00a0 Along with a few strong pain killers!<\/p>\n<p>I can really sympathise with those who get Tendonitis mid Camino and am very impressed that many\u00a0still complete their walk&#8230;.\u00a0 I just hope I can&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>But I think I need to make sure that this current injury does not become my focus and consume my whole Camino.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll just need to &#8216;deal&#8217; with it on a daily basis as advised, and whatever happens will happen.\u00a0 My main focus needs to be the Camino, and enjoying it and learning from it, in whatever way I can manage.<\/p>\n<p>So this Blog won&#8217;t dissolve into a Thesis on how to deal with tendonitis!\u00a0\u00a0 I think that would be a waste of a Camino Experience&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>3 Sleeps to go.
