The Camino Packing List – Download
For new Pilgrims this is something they either stress over a lot, or not at all, and regret it later!
Why? Because packing light is a good thing to do, if you are going to carry everything in your backpack. Every extra pound or kilogram you carry will be felt by your feet!
How much weight is too much? This is a very common question and there is no simple answer. It depends on your size, your age, your fitness, your strength and so many other factors. Some people are comfortable carrying much more weight than others.
But for a rough ‘rule of thumb’ many people use as a guide, a maximum weight of 10% of your body weight.
I try to get below that if I can. Only because I am old, unfit, have bad feet and a bad back!
But what to pack!
